| for legos this week, we had a faith walk. it was.... interesting to say
the least. before we started, amy paired us up with mostly our
accountability partners. one of us were blindfolded and then the
other had to guide the blind one. sam then dropped us off at the
parking lot behind the tennis courts. we started guiding the
blindfolded people near the MU bus stop and walked partway down the
stairs of the socsci building. it was sooo hilarious. edwin was pretty
scared i guess so he was sidestepping the whole way until he crossed
the street. at the socsci building, sam and kat were waiting for us.
they had a glass baking pan filled with crushed ritz crackers and gummy
worms. kat had dipped a gummy worm in water to make it squishier. she
and sam dragged it across the blind people's hands as they were digging
through the pan.
then we had to guide them to the bike racks behind the MU where amy was
waiting for us. she was shouting and breaking glass to scare the
blindfolded people. we had them take off their shoes or sandals and
walk through glass.... which was really tortilla chips.
the next obstacle was the "bridge". we had them walk along the circular
fountain behind the COHO/MU and cross over the gap in the "bridge",
which was really the fountain.
after that, we had them walk up the stairs to MUII. sam had a durian
cut up and a pot of what looked like water and banana. he made them
sniff the durian and search for a chunk of waterlogged banana in the
pot and then eat it! it was sooo nasty.
the final step was walking into the MU.
the faith walk was... pretty interesting. afterwards, we talked about
how it went and what it was like for both sides, the blindfolded person
and the guide. some people said the following:
--the faith walk was like God leading us through life. we don't always see what's going on at the time.
-- taking off the blindfold was like going to heaven. you finally saw
what it was you had to go through and understood that it wasn't as
scary as it seemed the first time around.
-- as the walk continued, the blindfolded people began to trust their
guides better and were more loose while walking (i.e. alex started
running around blindfolded). this correlated with how as our walks with
Christ continue, we begin to trust more and more in Him and gain
freedom through Him.
As a guide, i thought it was pretty hard personally. i was
guiding christina and jess both. it was hard because i would be
directing jess and christina would kinda veer off in the wrong
direction while i was talking to jess and vice versa. afterwards during
the discussion, i thought about it was like "WOW! how the heck does God
guide each and every person on this planet?? it's so hard to guide just
two people for like half an hour." it was quite an awing thought.

| k so becca's dad bought her a new air purifier- the ionic breeze GP.
it's supposed to be a silent air purifier but this weekend, since
becca's not here to talk to, I've discovered that it's really not. it
makes these weird noises, like bugs getting fried in those electric bug
zappers. I'm guessing that it's the dust/particles in the air that are
getting zapped by the negative ions or something like that. It's really
weird. and kind of creepy.
that is all. must study for math now. good day.

| k so after legos, mark and will showed us some WIERD videos...
money
dentures
madness
oh my goodness. the crazy things kids do these days.
AAAAAHHHHH I NEED TO STUDY!!
I woke up at eight today. my final started at eight today. I rolled
over and looked at my phone and realized it was eight. I woke up becca
and changed into jeans. ran out and biked so fast to class. I DIDN'T
EVEN BRUSH MY TEETH. SO GROSS!! I ate mints instead. gah. this is not
eloquently written because I'm still in shock for not waiting up
earlier. we slept at like three the night before because we were
studying. I set my phone alarm but I guess I either turned it off or I
set it for the wrong time. oh well. We both finished it with time to
spare. but maybe because we didn't have enough energy to make up stuff
to write down. oh well. it's over now.
